Cake Care

All cakes are boxed up and wrapped before being sent out to ensure a safe travel home. This includes a cake-cutting guide and cake-care guidance.

When collecting your cake please make sure you place it in the footwell of your car, this is by far the safest place for your cake to travel. Please don’t be tempted to hold it on your or a passenger’s lap – this can cause damage to the cake.

When you have got your cake home please make sure it is stored in the fridge.

Once you are ready to celebrate, please remove the cake from the fridge for approx. 1-2 hours before serving (depending on the season) to allow it to come to room temperature.

Any damage that occurs after delivery/collection is the responsibility of the customer and not the responsibility of Hattie’s Cake Place.
